Description
Crispy golden chicken bites coated in a glossy, sweet, sticky honey garlic sauce—quick, irresistible, and perfect as an appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Toss the seasoned chicken in cornstarch until fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until crispy and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Melt the butter in the same skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sticky sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Serve with rice, noodles, or steamed veggies for a full meal.
- Chicken thighs can be used for extra juiciness.
- Double the sauce if serving over rice.
- Add broccoli for a stir-fry twist.
