Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or mint


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, grated onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, black pepper, salt, and parsley.
  2. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and flatten into oval smashed kebabs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the kebabs for 3–4 minutes per side until well browned and cooked through.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, diced cucumber, lemon juice, and dill or mint.
  7. Season the yogurt sauce lightly with salt.
  8. Serve the hot kebabs with cucumber yogurt sauce on the side.
