A sweet-and-salty holiday treat made with crispy Ritz crackers layered with caramel, chocolate, and festive toppings—easy, addictive, and perfect for gifting.
Ingredients
- 40–45 Ritz crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes
- Optional: white chocolate drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange Ritz crackers in a single layer, edge to edge, on the baking sheet.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour the hot caramel evenly over the crackers.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
- Let sit 2 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
- Top with sprinkles or crushed candy canes.
- Cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until set.
- Break into pieces and serve.
Notes
- Use parchment paper for easy removal.
- Do not overboil caramel or it may harden.
- Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
