Description
Pull-Apart Garlic Cheese Bread is a warm, cheesy, and buttery appetizer made with soft bread stuffed with melted cheese and savory garlic butter. Perfect for parties or as a side dish for pasta or soups.
Ingredients
- 1 large round loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or Italian)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Place the loaf of bread on the baking sheet. Using a sharp bread knife, make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart across the loaf, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Turn the loaf and make diagonal cuts in the opposite direction to create a crosshatch pattern.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Gently separate the bread sections and drizzle the garlic butter mixture evenly into all the cracks.
- Stuff shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese between the cuts.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and crisp on top.
- Serve warm, pulling apart pieces to enjoy.
Notes
- Use any combination of cheeses like cheddar, provolone, or Monterey Jack for variation.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes or drizzle with olive oil before baking.
- Best served immediately while warm and gooey.
