Description
Nacho Cheese Beef Wraps are a bold, cheesy, and satisfying handheld meal filled with seasoned ground beef, creamy nacho cheese, and crunchy tortilla chips — all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. It’s the perfect quick lunch or dinner that tastes like your favorite Tex-Mex comfort food.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade)
- ½ cup water
- ¾ cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced
- ½ cup crushed tortilla chips
- ¼ cup sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and add ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain any excess grease, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the nacho cheese sauce until well combined and creamy. Remove from heat.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 10–15 seconds to make them pliable.
- Assemble the wraps: Spoon some beef mixture down the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, crushed tortilla chips, and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
- Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a wrap.
- Optional: Toast the wraps in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
- Serve warm with extra nacho cheese or salsa for dipping.
Notes
- For extra crunch, add jalapeño slices or diced onions inside the wrap.
- Use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative.
- These wraps can be prepped ahead and grilled before serving.
- Wrap leftovers in foil and refrigerate for up to 2 days — reheat in a skillet for best results.
