Description

Millionaire Gnocchi with Creamy Sauce is a decadent and luxurious dish featuring soft, pillowy gnocchi coated in a rich, velvety cream sauce infused with garlic, Parmesan, and herbs. It’s an indulgent comfort meal that feels gourmet yet comes together effortlessly in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup spinach or baby kale (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi according to package directions until they float to the top (about 2–3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Add cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  7. If using spinach or baby kale, stir it in and cook until wilted.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, stir in a tablespoon of mascarpone or cream cheese.
  • Top with crispy pancetta or bacon bits for added flavor and texture.
  • Use truffle oil or sautéed mushrooms for a ‘millionaire’ gourmet touch.
  • This dish pairs perfectly with garlic bread or a simple green salad.
