Description
A creamy, indulgent chicken dish made with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, Parmesan, and herbs—so rich and flavorful it’s famously known as “Marry Me Chicken.”
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Simmer the sauce for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
- Reduce heat and simmer 10–12 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and sauce is creamy.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
- Sun-dried tomatoes in oil give the best flavor.
- Add spinach during the last few minutes for extra veggies.
- Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier result.
