Description
A classic Italian-American stromboli made with pizza dough rolled around savory halal meats, melted mozzarella, and Italian seasonings, baked until golden and crispy.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup halal beef pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup halal beef salami slices
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
- Layer mozzarella and provolone cheeses evenly over the dough, leaving a border.
- Add halal pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, and bell peppers on top.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder evenly over the filling.
- Carefully roll the dough lengthwise into a tight log and seal the edges.
- Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the top with beaten egg and cut small slits for ventilation.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes, slice, and serve with marinara sauce.

- Allow the stromboli to rest before slicing to prevent filling from spilling.
- You can customize fillings with olives or spinach.
