Description

A classic Italian-American stromboli made with pizza dough rolled around savory halal meats, melted mozzarella, and Italian seasonings, baked until golden and crispy.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup halal beef pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup halal beef salami slices
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Marinara sauce, for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  3. Layer mozzarella and provolone cheeses evenly over the dough, leaving a border.
  4. Add halal pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, and bell peppers on top.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder evenly over the filling.
  6. Carefully roll the dough lengthwise into a tight log and seal the edges.
  7. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the top with beaten egg and cut small slits for ventilation.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let rest for 5 minutes, slice, and serve with marinara sauce.

  • Allow the stromboli to rest before slicing to prevent filling from spilling.
