Description
Juicy Greek chicken burgers infused with Mediterranean herbs and spices, served on buns with fresh toppings and creamy tzatziki sauce for a refreshing twist on the classic burger.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- 1/2 cup cucumber slices
- 1/2 cup tomato slices
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, dill, oregano, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Form mixture into 4 equal patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side, until cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
- Toast burger buns lightly.
- Assemble burgers: Place chicken patty on bun, top with cucumber, tomato, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate chicken mixture for 30 minutes before shaping patties.
- Serve with Greek salad or roasted potatoes for a complete meal.
- Can substitute ground turkey for chicken if preferred.
