Description
German Chocolate Dump Cake is an easy, decadent dessert made by layering chocolate cake mix, coconut, pecans, and a buttery caramel-like filling for a rich and gooey treat with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix (about 430 g)
- 1 can (400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Evenly spread the dry German chocolate cake mix into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top.
- Drizzle the melted butter over all the ingredients.
- Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the top is set and lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- Do not mix the layers—this is a true dump cake.
