Description

German Chocolate Dump Cake is an easy, decadent dessert made by layering chocolate cake mix, coconut, pecans, and a buttery caramel-like filling for a rich and gooey treat with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix (about 430 g)
  • 1 can (400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Evenly spread the dry German chocolate cake mix into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix.
  4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over all the ingredients.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the top is set and lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • Do not mix the layers—this is a true dump cake.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
