Description

Garlic Butter Steak with Parmesan Cream Sauce is a rich and indulgent dish featuring perfectly seared steak basted in garlic butter and finished with a creamy, savory Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin, about 250 g each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until desired doneness.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, and baste the steaks for 1 minute.
  5. Remove steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  6. In the same skillet, lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, simmering until the sauce thickens.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  9. Return steaks to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Let steaks rest before slicing to retain juices.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
