Garlic Butter Steak with Parmesan Cream Sauce is a rich and indulgent dish featuring perfectly seared steak basted in garlic butter and finished with a creamy, savory Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin, about 250 g each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until desired doneness.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, and baste the steaks for 1 minute.
- Remove steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, simmering until the sauce thickens.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Return steaks to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

- Let steaks rest before slicing to retain juices.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
