Description
Tender seared steak bites and crispy golden potatoes tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce for a quick, hearty, and flavor-packed meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried parsley (plus extra for garnish)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the halved potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 12–15 minutes until crispy and tender. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Season the steak bites with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and heat until shimmering. Add the steak bites in a single layer, searing for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet.
- Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Return potatoes and steak bites to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
- Sprinkle with dried parsley, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the garlic butter.
- Use ribeye for a more tender result.
- Ensure the skillet is hot before adding steak to achieve a good sear.
