Description

Easy Chicken & Stuffing Casserole is a cozy, comforting dish made with tender chicken, creamy soup, and savory stuffing. It’s a simple, hearty meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners — rich, satisfying, and full of classic homestyle flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
  • 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or use 2 chicken soups)
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, prepare the stuffing mix according to package directions and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Add shredded chicken (and vegetables if using) to the soup mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Top with prepared stuffing, spreading evenly over the chicken layer.
  7. Drizzle melted butter over the top for extra flavor and crispness.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the stuffing is golden brown.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for an easy shortcut.
  • Substitute cream of celery soup for a lighter flavor.
  • Add a handful of shredded cheddar cheese to the filling for a cheesy twist.
  • This casserole freezes well — assemble ahead and bake directly from frozen with 10 extra minutes of cooking time.
