Description

A creamy, comforting slow-cooker chicken dish made with seasoned chicken breasts simmered in a rich angel hair pasta sauce featuring cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and creamy soups.


Ingredients

  • 46 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet Italian dressing seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or use two cream of chicken)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz angel hair pasta, cooked
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then place it in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, Italian seasoning packet, and chicken broth.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Add softened cream cheese and butter slices on top.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours, or until chicken is tender.
  6. Shred or slice the chicken and stir mixture until sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  7. Cook angel hair pasta according to package directions and drain.
  8. Serve the creamy chicken mixture over angel hair pasta and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sauté the chicken briefly before adding to the crockpot.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach during the last hour of cooking for added texture.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest sauce.
