Description

A delicious and easy crispy cauliflower recipe made with seasoned breading and baked or fried until golden brown. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (if baking)
  • Oil for frying (if frying)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) if baking. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a second bowl, whisk eggs with milk.
  4. In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Dip each cauliflower floret first in flour mixture, then in egg wash, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  6. For baking: Arrange florets on prepared sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. For frying: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry florets in batches until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with dipping sauce such as ranch, marinara, or spicy aioli.

Notes

  • Air fryer option: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Make it vegan by using plant-based milk and egg substitute.
