Description

Creamy Tomato Garlic Pasta is a quick and comforting dish made with tender pasta tossed in a rich tomato cream sauce infused with garlic and Parmesan, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream and stir until sauce is smooth.
  6. Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water; toss to coat.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
