Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup spinach (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for another 3–4 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Stir in spinach if using, and cook until wilted.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
