Description

A soft and tender cinnamon roll bread with beautiful swirls of cinnamon sugar and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. This easy quick bread delivers all the flavors of a cinnamon roll without the yeast.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for swirl)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1-2 tbsp milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  8. Add remaining batter and top with remaining cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to swirl gently.
  9. Bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely before drizzling with powdered sugar glaze.

Notes

  • Do not over-swirl to keep distinct cinnamon layers.
  • Let bread cool fully before glazing.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Can add chopped pecans for extra texture.
