Ingredients
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Holiday sprinkles or crushed pretzels for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips, butter, and sweetened condensed milk together, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Fold in half of the crushed peppermint candies and nuts (if using).
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining peppermint candies and decorations on top, gently pressing them into the mixture.
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until firm.
- Cut into small squares and serve or package for gifting.

- For a white chocolate version, substitute white chocolate chips and add a few drops of peppermint extract.
