Description
Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies are soft, rich, bakery-style cookies with creamy cheesecake filling mixed right into the dough. They’re thick, chewy, buttery, and loaded with chocolate chips — the perfect mashup of cookies and cheesecake in every bite.
Ingredients
- For the Cookie Dough:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ¼ cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon balls and place onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden but centers still look soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Notes
- Chill dough 20–30 minutes for thicker, puffier cookies.
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest texture.
- Add white chocolate chips or chopped nuts for variation.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
