Description

Crispy-on-the-outside, cheesy-on-the-inside air fryer calzones stuffed with creamy chicken Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, and tender chicken—an easy and comforting meal made faster in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, diced
  • 3/4 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a 6-inch circle.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cooked chicken with Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture onto one half of each dough circle, leaving a border around the edges.
  5. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and crimp the edges firmly with a fork.
  7. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil.
  8. Place calzones in the air fryer basket (do not overcrowd) and cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
  9. Remove, garnish with parsley if desired, and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  • You can add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor.
  • Ensure edges are well sealed to prevent filling from leaking.
  • Serve with extra Alfredo or marinara sauce for dipping.
